The Hash Tagging

# is what i am @ is who i am. Twitter started this brilliant thing we call hash tagging or in my words hashating. While the whole #socialmedia is becoming just another way of spreading things it is becoming really hard to follow topics of your interests.
So we learned to use # hash symbol that allows a easy way of setting topics and the whole content becomes a bi more clear. I predict all of social media will adapt this feature soon. Similar to the @ symbol that is away identifying the person or brand behind it. We took that concept and add it as a part of our website where hash tags are used in the similar matter. You could say tag-cloud is an absolute function because the hashtag can be used inside the text. While you browse topics # are a way finding similar posts. I have never seen it implemented on a website (besides twitter) before, but I'm sure the idea will spread fast. The # only searches the hash words and therefore it is different that the real search.
Because we cannot add # to the browser bar because it means something else, we used the @ sign with a similar function. For instance you can find all of my work simply by following this link http://vbg.si/en/search/@GregorŽakelj.
